What I Ate Wednesday v7.0

Posted: August 10, 2011 in wiaw

Just trying to give you a mid-week laugh.  How do I look? 🙂

Lucky number 7 on the WIAW bandwagon!  Love it!  Catch up on past posts: version one, two, threefourfive, six.

How’s your Wednesday?   Mine (actually it this happened Tuesday) started early because I needed to run…remember the delicious Cupcake Kisses cupcake?  Yeah- I needed some extra calorie burn.  Plus my Garmin just makes me want to run!

2 miles down.

Through Twitter I found out another of my fave bloggers, Lindsay, had an early am run too.  We helped mentally motivated each other across the country.  I have a hard time with am runs.  How about you?

After the run I had some Fiber 1, soy milk, cinnamon, and blackberries.  Totally addicted to cereal.

My snack at school was a Green Machine Tropical Smoothie. It had oatmeal, protein powder, chia seeds frozen spinach, and frozen tropical fruits with almond milk.  Boy was it green!

Lunch was simple and delicious. This is a chickpea salad made by Cedar’s that I picked up at Publix.  It had a light flavor and I like the sweetness provided by the raisins.  My sandwich was on Udi’s Gluten Free bread and included mayo, mustard, rotisserie chicken, and spring mix.  That Udi’s is a true delight!  You should try it, and they have a coupon online!

I was ravenous just 2 hours after my lunch.  I went with 2 rice cakes and natural PB.  I had a hair appointment so I needed something to tide me over. Enter PB.  Fats keep you full.

At the hair salon I had a soda.  Bad girl.  I just couldn’t resist the much needed caffeine boots.  Once I got home I opted for a cleaner snack of grapefruit.

Dinner was a crock pot turkey chili with 2 kinds of beans.  I’m a little sad, because this wasn’t my best batch of chili.  It didn’t have nearly as much “kick” as it usually does.

My chili consisted of ground turkey breast, onion, bell pepper, carrot, Rotel tomatoes, black beans, and kidney beans. We polished that off with a Greek salad and Food Should Taste Good MultiGrain chips!

Do those chips looks good to you?  Come back tomorrow and I’ll be giving away 5 bags!! FIVE!

Kyle and I usually go out to dinner on nights I get my “hair did”.  Last time we went to Seasons 52.  Kyle offered to take me, however with have a great dinner planned for this weekend so I’m holding out.

Do you have any date traditions with your “significant other”?

Love and foils,
Carissa & Kyle
